Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

solitary confinement

this is in reguard to a nys inmate who has been in solitary confinement for over 8 years and has a release date from confinement of 2020. his mental health is being destroyed. what can we do to get him out of this situation. this is cruel and unusual punishment and something has to be done to stop this. he is only 31 years old. please if u can help contact me.

ARe you sure he's being held in solitary confinement for 8 years straight, have you been able to visit with him? has he been involved in any violent activity in the prison? what prison is he in?
