Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Spying on a bully

My child is being bullied at school. It consists of verbal, emotional and psychological abuse. It has been witnessed by two school faculty members. However, school officials believe both children are behaving in a manner consistant to their age and our ''teaching'' them how to respond to situations. I am wondering if New York has a law that says students can not be recorded in school. I have seriously considered using a type of nanny cam, if it is even possible, to spy on what is happening at school. Would this be a legal thing to do?

Re: Spying on a bully

My advice is to seek a civil remedy. Join with the other parents and have an attorney examine your agreement with the school and even if there is not a a written agreement you may still have a legal remedy since the school appears to be acting irresponsibly, in that, they are not fostering a learning environment.
