Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
can I sue a doctor for saying in a room full of poeple that im addicted to my pain meds, i feel that should be something told in private not in a room full of ppl in a hospital room,

You're right that your doctor should not have made that comment in front of others. In seeking a remedy, you have to be pragmatic. Your damages, save for a bit of embarrassment, were minor; on the other hand, lawsuits are expensive. And I would find it hard to believe that any lawyer would represent you on a contingency basis based on the facts that you presented.
I do, however, think it would be prudent to speak with your doctor about this.
