sue hospital for damaging personal property?
so i was sent to ER after falling down. when i woke up i discovered they have cut off my jacket which was worth more than $1000. the jacket is ruined and cut in pieces and cannot be restored again.
can i sue the hospital because they ruined my valuable clothing without my consent while i was unconscious? under what law can o i sue them for? thanks.

your best bet is to take up this case with the small claims court, you will have to do all the filing and appear in court on your own... it will not be particularly difficult...
it will not be worth you paying someone to assist you with this as the amount of money you would win in a lawsuit would be MUCH less that what you would be billed by an attorney...
