Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
surveilance cameras in workplace
I am wondering if there is a NY state law that states that a employer has to advise the employee that they are being watched by surveilance cameras.
Thank you for your time

There is no law requiring such disclosure. In fact videotaping in the workplace is legal so long is as it is done so in an area where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy such as a bathroom or locker room.
