Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Time limit to set aside an executed general release

My attorney failed to provide proper advise and pushed me to execute the general release. As a reslut, I lost the right to claim unpaid severance. Now, my attorney deny any wrong doing and claim I could file a reuest to set aside the executed release in Sep. 2005 (almost 2 years ago). Can I still file the request to set aside the executed release after 2 years? Your help is greatly appreciated.
