verbal contracts

2 owners one decides to sell. Contract is done verbally to buy the other one out. person who wanted to sell no longer wants to sell. can a law suite be established for breaking a verbal contract in the State of New York?

Depends upon what is involved. Oral contracts having to do with real estate are void and unenforceable. Those having to do with tangible property other than real estate are enforceable, but usually difficult of proof.
