Legal Question in Technology Law in New York
Internet Invasion
I recently broke up with my girlfriend because she was cheating on me, though we never really officially broke up. I moved back to NY and I viewed online her credit card activity to only view where's she's been and what's she's charged. I only did this because she swore up and down that she wasn't cheating on me anymore and she would make up stories for her unaccountability. Can you tell me if she can press charges for me looking at her credit card activity?

Re: Internet Invasion
It's likely that, unless she gave you express permission to view the activity, and you are not jointly on the account or you have a surety position as to the charges, that you trespassed.
