is that illegal to share files on Internet as Napster or morpheous? Could you explain about this case of laws ? (specific..)

It is illegal to duplicate and distribute copyrighted works of any kind, including music files. There is a bill pending before Congress presently which will make it even more illegal. Record companies are determined to protect their sales rights, and the artists are equally determined to protect their royalty rights. Both are sacrificed when music files are duplicated and distributed over the net.
