Legal Question in Technology Law in New York
Last year an ex girlfriend and her sister went into my email account and erased almost all my chat history. I know it was them because I found both their IP addresses in my account activity and I know it theirs because I did a reverse IP lookup. Also all the chats where either one of them were talking to me was erased. Another way I know is About 3 years before this we all shared passwords because we trusted each other and the only two who knew my password was them. Also, after I discovered it I found their passwords changed.. My evidence is The IP addresses with the times and date, that I still have, and the other facts stated above. If I present this if court would it hold up?

What are your damages? It is unlikely that you would see any kind of judicial remedy since it appears that you gave them permission to access your e-mail account.
