Can Child Protective Services force you to divorce your husband,and threaten to take your children from your home?

CPS has enormous discretion when it comes to jurisdiction over protecting children. They cannot force you to divorce your spouse, however if they feel with a reaonable degree of certainty that your home life as currently constituted presents a danger to the safety or welfare of your children, they can remove the children from the home due to the unsafe home environment.
