Which additional laws protect the freedom of the press in
the U.S. other than the first amendment of the constitution?

Nothing federally. Certain states grant extra protections to the press such as qualified priviliges for reporters permitting them to keep the sources for their stories a secret.

Broadly speaking, "freedom of the press" does not relate ONLY to newspapers or reporters. Freedom of the press relates to ANY publication. The "press" is not limited by the modern meaning of media, but comes from the old way of printing.
Therefore, there are all SORTS of laws covering what may and may not be published. All of them stem from the federal 1st Amendment and similar guarantees in state constitutions and legislation. Any law that regulates the media has first to clear 1st Amendment protections.
