Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New York
Parent's rights in organized sport
From a legal standpoint, is a sports organization allowed to ban the presence of all parents during their children's practices? (children ages 10-12) (the gym is not at capacity or anything and the parents just want to observe what is going on)

The simply solution to your question is this: if you believe that they are doing something wrong to your child then remove your child from the program. A sports organization can do whatever they want as long as it is not a crime. In order for your child to participate, I am reasonably sure that the agreement you signed (assuming that there is a written agreement) stated that you will follow their rules. Again, if you disagree, then you have the option of taking your child out of the program.
