Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New York
Who do I sue?
I was on a flight from sfo to jfk. I had a coughing attack during flight and asked to be reseated. When I woke up I was surrounded by 5 police who told me that I didnt do anything wrong but since I ''passed out'' on the plane it was procedure for them to ''make sure I was ok''. I was handcuffed and taken to the Jamaica Queens Psychiatric ward. For the next 7 days I was held against my will, drugged, interrogated, and every time I asked questions such as ,''If I didnt do anything wrong and Im not being arrested why wont this door open'' I would be thrown into a room with a thin mattress on the floor. A few minutes later 4 people would come in the room, pin me on the ground, then a nurse would come in and give me intramuscular shots of thorazine. My friends and family members were coming down there every day to see why I was being held and trying to get me out of there. They were given the run around then finally after 7 days I was allowed to leave with no explanation of what the hell just happened and just sent on my way with valuim and some broncidious medication. For the next 6 days I was in the worst pain I have ever felt walking around drooling all over myself, ect. Please help. I have never felt more violated in my life.

Re: Who do I sue?
I would find a NYC civil rights lawyer experienced in police misconduct litigation. Watch out for [probably very short] legal time limits. I am horrified at your story, please post it to flyertalk.com 's Travel Safety/Security forum.
