ADA compliance in coop bathroom renovation
In renovating a coop apartment in
Manhattan is new owner required for
permit approval by New York City to use
ADA code dimensions in re-design of
single bathroom? Are ADA code
dimension restrictions the same for
''private'' and commercial bathrooms?
New coop owner is not disabled.

Re: ADA compliance in coop bathroom renovation
No. ADA compliance is mandated for public and quasi-public restrooms. A lavatory/bath i a private residence is not required to be ADA-compliant.
