Legal Question in Construction Law in New York
Contract signed for a garage
Say the amount agreed and signed for was $10000.00 dollars. When all done contractor comes back and says oops it is another $3000.00 should the extra 3000 be paid or I am not respnsible for the shortage..........

Both you and the contractor are bound by the agreement. If it is not specifically stated in the agreement that you would have to pay additional monies for something, you don't have to pay. Anymore than if it came in under budget that he would have to refund you the $3,000.
