Corporate Veil
If a construction company uses a name that was old and discontinued since 2004 to file a mechanic's lien and had me write all checks to the discontinued dba and the mechanic's lien contains the name of their old corporation that they had amended and changed since 2004. I signed a contract with them in 2005 but they are still using their old name have they pierced the corporate veil and acted personally by using names that no longer exist te names are not on the contract either. Re: Corporate Veil
You raise an interesting question, but one that ultimately is peripheral. That is, the bogus name could be one element in handling a troubled construction project, but it's not going to be decisive by itself. From your question, it is not evident what the trouble is. More context is needed to provide even a tiny comment on the situation.
