Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
I bought a $1000. item on line from a corporation, which was paid for through a financial Co. - Item rec'd was not the one ordered. - Even though it was the seller's error/mistake (and I furnished them with documentation showing that they did not send what I ordered), - the seller says that I am responsible to pay the $300. shipping charges in both directions ($150. each way). The finance co will not do anything until I send the item back. The seller is 2,000 miles away from me. What do I do? Can I take a MN corp. to a NY small claim court, or what? Thank you

You can sue in New York, but not in small claims. You have to go to Big Boy Court. You would have to supply more info about this "financial co." You're hiding something, and it looks like you're up to something fishy.
