Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

I brought my vehicle into a Mavis Tire place to have a flat repaired. I sat in the waiting room after giving them the keys to do the service, I was told it was ready about one half hour layer. they gave me the keys and when I walked out to my auto (on their property) the front left fender and door was damaged. After speaking to manager and worker they said they do not know of any damage done. Manager said he called corporate headquarters and they said the video camera showed there was damage when it was at the work station. I asked what about bringing it in from their parking lot-they said they do not have cameras in that location. I spoke to the district manger and was told it was l;ike bringing a car to a supermarket-if you have damage you do not bring it to supermarket! However-they did have the keys and it was on their property. Do I have any recourse for 900 dollars of damage? Thank you for your reply

I would commence a small claims action against the tire center. You should bring proper proof demonstrating that 1. The tire center caused damage to your vehicle and 2. That the damage was $900. In small claims a paid receipt or two (2) estimates are proper evidence of the damage.
