Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

Car Crash due to faulty brake pads

I took my car to be serviced a the local Chrysler Service center. They were put in the shop for brake pad replacement. The service rep told me the day before that they needed to be changed because they were worn. I took them to him the following morning. After they finished at around 5:00pm I drove home and crashed into a tree because the brakes did not stop the car. Before taking the car back to the same shop I had a local shop check it out, they drove the car and agreed that the car showed difficulty stopping.

Re: Car Crash due to faulty brake pads

It certainly sounds as though the Chrysler dealer may be responsible. The more important question is the extent of your injuries. What happened to you? Did you lose consciousness? Break any bones? Receive stitches? In the meantime, do not sign anything until consulting with an attorney. Contact me via email if you would like to arrange for a free consultation. We have offices in Manhattan and Westchester.
