Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

As a consumer of an Online Entertainment Software, I've invested over 400USD into it, in return for digital goods in the software. Due to poor security of the Software, hundreds of users have been hacked, only to find their paid content disappear. The software provider has refused to provide a solution to the problem. Under this situation, what can us, consumers do to protect ourselves and get our losses back?

If you can not have your credit card company reverse charges, you hardly have any recourse. Word to the wise; buy from a reputable retailer especially when such sums are involved.
