Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
damage to rental equipment
I recently rented a bulldozer to clear some land. 96 hours after the dozer was picked up by the rental company, I was informed that there was approx. $2500.00 damage done the the dozer. Great care was taken during the use of the dozer and no one from the company ever checked with me or sign anything at pickup. Can I be held responsible for damage that was done?
Thank you.

They will have to prove that they or another person didn't cause the damage and you will be trying to prove that you didn't. Get an attorney.
