Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
my family is buying a used 2nd vehicle for our son to drive. We have paid for the car and have the bill of sale, with the stipulation was that the dealer would make sure that the car would pass new york state inspection plus he said the car came with a 1 year warranty for the engine and the transmission. the dealer was paid for the car on July 30, 2015 and the dealer still has not released the vehicle to us, he keeps coming up with more things he has found that need replacing on the vehicle to even get it to pass inspection. It has been almost 2 weeks, is there anything we can do to make him hurry up with the car. We are in need of this car for my son to get back and forth to work.

Either ask for your money back since to you time is of the essence or request an alternative car on the lot.
