Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Forgery
I live in VA and I bought a car in NY this summer and they submitted the paperwork for the registration and title to VA with the wrong lienholder and forged my signature on this documentation. Now, the bank I do have the lein with is going to default the loan because they are unable to obtain the title as colleteral. What are my rights?

Re: Forgery
Apprise the bank of the problem and ask for more time to remedy the problem. Then get on the horn (every day, if necessary)and call whomever "they" is to get the paperwork corrected. And follow up in writing with your complaint addressed to a manager or supervisor as may be required.
