Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
My husband found a piece of a blade (about the size of a nickel) in a container of potato salad from a local grocery store. He saw the blade before it was eaten (though half of the product was already consumed). The store refunded the purchase price but did not do a product recall. It turns out that the product is not made in the store, or even by the grocery store (despite advertisements). An investigation is currently underway. I am really concerned about the public safety of this product. Do we have a case against the store, and what should we do next?
