Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

While looking through the internet for a site like yours which answers legal questions without payment obligation, I had a lot of different similar sites on the computer screen but which were not what I was looking for, they overtly charged a fee. I found a few others which also answer some legal questions free. However while filling out the information on your site, and also inquiring of other sites, I accidently also filled out and sent my name and phone number to a site that was specifically for laws regarding injuries on the job. I later found a message on my phone answering machine from the particular law firm and the person who left the message was eager to have me call him back apparently because he is some lawyer who thinks that he is going to make money because of an injury case that he thinks I am trying to sue someone about. The guy said he will call me when the weekend is over. I think I will just have to tell the guy that I accidently filled out the form through the internet and I have no injury case for him to take up, and he can forget about having me as a client.

I don't know how stupid theese questions are, but could this person take legal action against me for falsely summoning him? Can he legally sell my name and phone number to any other third-party business which will bombard me with offers for other services or merchandice? Am I in any legal trouble for this?
