Do I need a lawyer to file a writ of replevin form?

It depends. Two kinds of replevins. The first is where you want an essentially straight shooter to turn over something that you claim. The second is where some goneff took off with YOUR diamonds. In that case, you want more than a writ of replevin: you need an ex parte order of seizure. For that, you definitely need an attorney.
