Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
I need some legal advice, I recently applied for a job via careerbuilder.com, I did receive a response from BestMark Mystery Shopping representative by the name of John Fisher. I was accepted as a Mystery Shopper, upon completion of the first assignment, I found out that the check he gave me was fraudulent. Can I sue careerbuilder for referring me to a fraudulent company rep? I appreciate the advise. Thank you.

You agreed to release careerbuilder from liability as a condition of using their service. See the Terms of Use section. Most job sites have such waivers.
