ny statute of limitations
My mother in law purchased a refrigerator on credit in 2001 and never received a bill. Can the company still collect?

They have six years from the delivery of the fridge to collect the money. A contract action has a six year statute of limitations.
It is never too late however to do the right thing. If she ordered the fridge, got the fridge, and used the fridge, she ought to pay for the fridge don't you think??
