Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Online Purchase by legit website
I recently purchased some items on the website (www) sexydepot(com) for my wife's b-day which is one of the top lingerie websites on the internet. They charged my card 2 days after the purchase date which was fine. I asked when it would be shipped out and they referred me to their website which says 1-4 days. As of today it's been 10 days. I was told I'd get an email when it was shipped and I haven't received that yet. I've emailed them a couple of times complaining about their service. Their phone number is also unlisted in California. I have the address of the company there. Ever since I started complaining about their service, I've been ignored and have no way of contacting them since they won't reply to my emails. They replied the first time when they referred me to the website when I was wondering when it would be shipped. They have 24/7 customer service but it's been 4 days since my first complaint and I sent another today mentioning that I was going to seek legal advice if I didn't hear from them soon. Knowing the situation, what am I looking at here? They are ignoring me, they have terrible service and they haven't even mentioned refunding my money. Should I just contact my bank or should I seek legal help?

File a dispute with your credit card company ASAP and file a complaint with the California Consumer Affairs Dept. if you wish to take it that far.
Good luck!
