Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
i ordered a king size bedroom set, when it came in 2days ago my standard king size box spring and mattress (80inches) did not fit because from the headboard to footboard it is 78 3/4 inches, where the box spring would be. Where the mattress would be it is adistance from headboard to footboard 78 inches. The store says they cannot refund our money b/c they have a no cash refund policy. I have spoken to ashley furniture(the company that supplied the furniture) who said the furniture was not defective. we also spoke to the store that we purchased this furniture from. I also filed a complaint with consumer affairs earlier this morning. We don't like anything else in their store, What can I do?
