Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

Piece of glass found in Bottled Water

Hello, I recently was drinking a bottle

of water (I will not disclose the

company name as of yet but it is a

very reputable bottled water that is

served in a plastic bottle). As I got to

the bottom of the bottled water I felt

the sensation of something in my

mouth. I was able to hold the item

in my mouth with my tongue as I

drank the water that was in my

mouth. To my horror I pulled the

item out of my mouth and it was a

small shard of glass. What do I do?

If you still have the plastic bottle, it should have a "lot number" on it. Contact the water company and tell them about your discovery, and provide them with the lot number information and your contact information. Fortunately, you were not injured, but there might be other bottles from the same lot that they could check.
