Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Pool installation
I purchased an above ground pool from Island Recreational that is being delivered to my residence today. After reading numerous horror stories from various consumer complaints, I have serious doubts about this company. The question is, when the pool arrives can I sign the receipt with a bogus name. I feel it will make it easier to cancel the sale if they fail to install the pool in an appropriate time frame

No. You cannot sign the receipt with a bogus name. That would be fraud.
