Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

I purchased furniture a while back and all the furniture I have received has always been in very bad condition. I paid $4000 for it and I am making payments now, which unknown to my knowledge i would be paying a 24.99% interest on the furniture.

I have gone back and forth several times with the place I purchased it from and they have sent several repair people out to try to fix my bed and couch. I have upgraded a mattress and still had a problem with that. I am still continuing to have issues. I feel like I am paying an exorbanant amont of money for something not worth it and I have letters stating my issues back and forth from the furniture store and I have proof of money back on my credit card for the issue with the upgraded mattress. I wanted to know if I could take them to small claims court or try to stop payments.

Proceed to small claims court. Pay your installments in the interim. It is best to make your complaints very specific in your court documents; short, sweet and to the point. Take photographs. Do an internet search on the specific items to find similar general complaints about the issues faced by you and the recommendations/remedies provided. You may enlighten the judge specifically as to the relief you demand.
