Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
I purchased a laptop from someone off of Craigslist. A month later I was contacted by the chips for buying a stolen laptop. The cop interviewed the women that sold the laptop and I then took the laptop from me. If the women didn't know the laptop was stolen can I sue her for my money back?
