Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Raffle for a free golf membership. Buyer signs stub, doesn't have the money so seller pays for ticket expecting to get reimbursed. Winning ticket drawn is the buyer who didn't and still hasn't paid seller. Seller is claiming the prize. Buyer tries now to pay seller. Is Seller correct in claiming prize as his stub was the winner?

Whomever has the ticket gets the golf membership. Payment of the money for the prize is irrelevent (although person that loan money must receive payment).
