Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
Received fuel oil without order
While we were at work, a fuel oil company delivered 400 gallons of fuel oil to our house. We do not have a contract with them for fuel delivery at our current house. Now they sent us a bill. Are we obligated to pay them for the fuel oil?

Re: Received fuel oil without order
If you intend on using the fuel, then yes, you would be responsible to pay. If you do not intend on using the fuel, reject and request return of the delivery.
