Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
sueing rebate company
Can a manufacturer be sued for not giving you back the right amount for a rebate? Even though the rebate says one thing and the service number on the back insists its not for that amount. I am tired of consumers being taken by these manufactuer rebate cpmpanys and want to teach them they can't get away with this anymore.

Re: sueing rebate company
Your best bet is to send a letter with more information and copies of proof to both our State Attorney General and the Attorney General of the state in which the company is located.
Send it to the Consumer Fraud unit.
You might also consider seeking a class action lawsuit. You might want to see how many other people have been affected by combing the web.
Good Luck.
