unpaid rent
if i am renting a house and the renters get behind, how can i get them to pay and not just move out? they may claim they have no money but i know and can prove they own the houses on each side of mine?

If they fall behind on the rent say by the 10th of the month, you can move to evict them for non-payment of rent. It is a fairly routine procedure, but you should use a lawyer to be certain. The eviction is brought in the town, village or city that your in. You can sart and finish one in about 15 days, depending how often the court meets.
I own many different properties and represent many landlords. I always find that if they fall one month behind, they never catch up.
You can also get a judgment against them for back monies owed if they are served personally.
