Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
vehicle purchase
i recently purchased a vehicle on saturday at a local dealership. The price and my trades were agreed to. I got approved for my financing through the bank and my payments were set along with the interest rate. I sign all the paperwork, sign over my titles to them. I bring the vehicle back to them this morning so they can clean it, do some promised brake work, and now when i came to pick it up tonight they said that they could not do the deal. That the dealership lost money on it totalling 900 dollars. Purchase price was 159995, now they are saying its 16995. Can they do that?

Re: vehicle purchase
If the dealership signed an agreement to deliver the vehicle to you for a stated price, and there are no conditions allowing the dealer to rescind the agreement, then the dealership must adhere to the terms of the contract.
