Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York
I am a verizon customer, since the first bill i received, seven months ago, all of my bills have been incorrect and contrary to the plan i supposedly signed up for by telephone. I have paid the balances that owe according to a manager at verizon, whose name and ID number I wrote down. However verizon is trying to charge me for the third time for the cost of a modem I already paid for. Conveniently, the manager i spoke to is " not in their system". They are claiming I owe an additional 235 dollars. I have paid my correct balances every month on time. 2 months of 85 dollars for the modem. Then 65 dollars for 5 months. There is no way to prove either by bills( they are overbilled) or by my credit card company . That statements simply states what Ive paid, not that I dont owe money. My bills have been wrong since day 1. I have continuously called and complained every sigle month. legally, what can I do?
