Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

1995 Credit Card Debt Judgement

I recently received a Judgement that was entered in 1995 for unpaid credit card bill which I know was untrue. I went to the court to vacate the judgement and demanded for transaction records. Can I also use the statue of limitation defense? Can the collection agency collect after 13 years of Judgement? What can I do to get out of this Judgement?

Re: 1995 Credit Card Debt Judgement

If the judgment was entered in 1995, it is enforceable for twenty years (if it was a New York State judgment). Your only option at this point would be to try to vacate the judgment.
