bank account frozen, i live in pa. ny judgement
i have a judgement from 6 years ago,never served a summons, my bank account is frozen here in pa.the judgement is from ny state and i always disputed the amount owed to this cc company. i have a home that is paid in full. can the creditors take my house from me?

under extreme circumstances the answer is yes. The law while allowing assets to be sold to satisfy judgments takes into consideration the amount of the judgment and the effect such a sale would have on
individuals. Several years ago, a coop was sold when a small claims judgment was ignored. Apparently, the Coop owners were less than liked by anyone who had to deal with them and the court had no sympathy for them. To remove the matter from your concern, you should go to the NY court and file a motion to have the NY judgment vacated. If the NY judgment was the basis for the PA judgment (which resulted in your account being restrained), vacating the NY judgment cuts the legs off the PA case and you could get that judgment vacated as well. That is the better way to go don't you think?
