Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York
My brother was killed unexpectedly by police officers 4 years ago he had a 2 children and a girlfriend.The girlfriend and children just settled a lawsuit.I paid for my brothers funeral over 10,000 dollars .I was told by the lawyers office I could not be reimbursed until the case is settled.Lawyers will not return my calls .What do I do.

File a lien in the lawsuit. When the funds are paid out you will get paid.
