Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Car Lease

My father lost his income and defaulted on his car lease. I twice made the car payments for him on the lease in question, using my own checks. In the past I had co-signed a lease with my father which was never-late and is now paid in full. Would I, having made two payments for him using my checks, be liable for anything regarding the default lease?

Re: Car Lease

If there is no writing stating that you would be responsible for his loan, then you would not be liable under your father's lease.
