Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

How can I collect?

The AG office in NY has issued a judgement against an individual in NY (I live in NJ). I rec'd a letter from the AG office that I was owed about $1500. The total judgement against her was about $19K. The letter says they will commence enforcement proceeding in an effort to collect, and that it will take some time (this was about a year ago) and that I will be contacted when $$$ is collected. Will they really pursue this? Or should I take action on my own? They suggest that I may want to consult with an atty to discuss other remedies. Any suggestions?

Re: How can I collect?

From your letter, I'm not sure if you have a judgment for 19K or 1.5K against the NY individual.

I have experience and have had great success in collection matters in New York.

I cannot say what, if anything, the AG will do to assist you in collections.

If you need further assistance, you may contact me via email.
