Re: Collection Agency question

Collection agencies only have 2 tools in their tool chest: (1) telephone calls, and (2) letters. Collectors don't get judgment, don't freeze bank accounts, don't garnish wages, etc. Only attorneys can do these things.

A creditor that has a judgment can have its attorney issue an information subpoena to a debtor's employer to obtain such information as salary, position, etc. In addition, the creditor that has a judgment can have its attorney issues a wage garnishment to a debtor's employer to garnish the debtor's wages.
