Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

collection notice

Can Verizon telephone company legally collect a dept that is over 15 years old? They JUST sent me a bill after all this time. I do not remember if I had a Verizon account 15yrs ago. However I do know I did NOT live at the address that they said the account was for. Please give me some advice on how I should handle the matter.

Sincerely,

Stressed Out

Re: collection notice

you should handle this by coming to a smart lawyer like me, and I can bark at them to go away. If they got a judgment against you ten years ago, you have a problem. if they did not file a lawsuit, then they can not file a lawsuit now.

If you would like me to assist, please call my office. I am in Hackensack. You can then decide how you would like to proceed.
