Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Collection of Small Claims Judgement

I was awarded $500 repayment to me in full by small claims. The 30 days has past and I am in the process of getting judgement for collection. The "crook" is married to an exec who makes 6 figures. The "crook" has his own cash only "off the books" business. All houses, cars, etc are in his wifes name. Any ideas how I can collect the money from him once Judgement is issued? Can I put a lien on his 2000 tax return (assuming he files jointly with wife). How can I run a search to see if he has hidden accounts in his name. Thanks for your help.

Re: Collection of Small Claims Judgement

You request the court to issue an Information Subpoena to which the judgment debtor must reply or be held in contempt. The reply should determine what assets, if any, the creditor can levy upon.
