credit card collection

If I owe numerous credit card companies money can they garnish my wages and how much can they seperatly or combined take out of my salarie?

garnishment is a post judgment process so they have to sue you first. Under NY law, only one garnishment can take place at a time. THey can get 10% of your GROSS salary per pay period. Note that judgments accrue interest at 9% while they remain unpaid. Try to make deals and keep to them.
